Why was the World Tour Mebourne cancelled?

Following on from the decision of Formula 1 and the FIA, with the support of the Australian Grand Prix Corporation (AGPC) to cancel all Formula 1 activity for the Australian Grand Prix, World Tour’s show on Saturday 14th March with Robbie Williams is cancelled.
The concert would have been located inside Lakeside Stadium within the Grand Prix race track at Albert Park.

We appreciate that this is very disappointing news for the fans due to attend the show and all ticket holders will receive a full refund and will be contacted by Ticketek shortly.

What is World Tour? 

World Tour is a new, ground-breaking, touring music phenomenon

Apollo World Touring and Will Smith’s Westbrook Inc. have come together to co-produce World Tour, a new multi-artist, multi-genre event and content series, staged in the world’s most iconic cities. 

Each live event will feature internationally acclaimed A-list artists, locally celebrated superstars and globally recognised DJs. Fans will be able to engage globally through exciting  content formats on multiple platforms.

World Tour kicks off in Melbourne, Australia on the 13th and 14 March 2020, alongside the Formula 1 ®Rolex Australian Grand Prix. 

On Saturday 14th March International superstar Robbie Williams will headline in his his only Australian public performance of 2020. 

After Melbourne, World Tour will be touching down in other exciting world cities including; Montreal, Berlin, Milan, Seoul, Taipei, Osaka and Miami. The schedule of live events, complemented by multi-platform media elements, will make World Tour a non-stop year-round experience for audiences and brand partners, uniting millions of fans globally. 

World Tour will bring together people from different cultures and backgrounds to create an unforgettable experience.



Who is involved in World Tour Melbourne?

Apollo World Touring, Westbrook Inc. and TEG Dainty have partnered with the Australian Grand Prix Corporation to bring the global launch of World Tour to Melbourne.

World Tour Melbourne is running alongside the Formula 1 ® Rolex Australian Grand Prix 2020. As well as being the FIA Formula 1 Championship™ season opener, 2020 will mark a major milestone for the Formula 1® Australian Grand Prix, as it is the 25th race held in Melbourne making this the perfect year to stage the launch of a massive new music event-series. 



Has the Miley Cyrus bushfire concert been cancelled?

World Tour Melbourne are very sad to confirm Miley Cyrus’ recent announcement that she will not be travelling to Melbourne and that as a result the World Tour Bushfire Relief concert at Lakeside Stadium on Friday 13th March can no longer go ahead. All fans will receive a full refund and will be contacted by Ticketek shortly.

World Tour’s Saturday night show with Robbie Williams will still be going ahead, and we look forward to bringing Melbourne a fantastic night of entertainment. Robbie is already on his way to Australia.

Will my ticket for Miley Cyrus be refunded? 

Tickets purchased by credit or debit card will be refunded in full (including ticket insurance premium and refundable ticket purchase, if relevant) and patrons do not need to take any action. Patrons should allow up to 15 working days for the refund to appear in their account.

If your credit or debit card has been permanently closed/cancelled, please supply us with updated details here in order to process your refund.

Patrons who purchased tickets in an Agency using cash or EFTPOS will be contacted via phone in the next 15 days to arrange for a full refund. Alternatively, you can contact Ticketek here.

Where is World Tour Melbourne located?

World Tour Melbourne will take place at Lakeside Stadium, Albert Park. Lakeside Stadium is located within the Formula 1 ® Rolex Australian Grand Prix Circuit. See below a map showing the location of Lakeside Stadium. 

To enter Lakeside Stadium you are required to purchase a World Tour Melbourne ticket. Tickets are available from ticketek.com.au

How and when can I access the venue?

For smooth entry to Lakeside Stadium, please refer to the World Tour Melbourne specific Formula 1® Rolex Australian Grand Prix Circuit Map and take note of the important information below:

-    Lakeside Stadium is located inside the Formula 1® Rolex Australian Grand Prix Circuit at Albert Park.

-    World Tour Melbourne is a separately ticketed event to the Formula 1® Rolex Australian Grand Prix. If you do not hold a ticket to the Formula 1® Rolex Australian Grand Prix, you may use your Ticketek World Tour Melbourne ticket to enter the Formula 1® Rolex Australian Grand Prix Circuit Gates from 5:00pm. If you have purchased a ticket to the Formula 1® Rolex Australian Grand Prix ticket you can enter the Circuit from 9:15am.

-    As you are required to enter the Formula 1® Rolex Australian Grand Prix Circuit to get to Lakeside Stadium we recommend you arrive at the Circuit early (from 5:00pm) and allow plenty of time to make your way to Lakeside Stadium.

-    The World Tour Melbourne specific entry gates at the Formula 1® Rolex Australian Grand Prix Circuit are Gate 2, Gate 4, Gate 8 and Gate 10. For smooth entry please refer to the gate number on your ticket into the Formula 1® Rolex Australian Grand Prix Circuit. If this is not viable, your entry into the Grand Prix will be accepted at any of the gates listed above.

-    To enter Lakeside Stadium, you will be required to use the overpass stairs to cross the racetrack. If you have special access requirements, please refer to the specific accessibility information outlined later in this document.

-    Additional ticket-checks and security screening will take place upon entry to Lakeside Stadium. Please take note of the prohibited items listed in the conditions of entry.

-    At the conclusion of the concert patrons will all leave via Circuit Gate 3, except for those with accessibility requirements, who will leave via Gate 10. We ask that all patrons please respect the local residents by leaving the Circuit quietly.



What are the set times For Saturday 14 March

Will there be a pass out system in place for the concert?

Pass outs will be considered on a case by case basis.

Is there a pre-sale period? 

Yes there are two pre-sales running on Tuesday 25th March at 12noon (AEDT) 

All Formula 1 ® Rolex Australian Grand Prix 2020 ticket holders will receive an email with pre sale instructions included.

Is there a maximum number of tickets I can buy?

There is a limit of 10 tickets per transaction.


Where can I buy tickets?

Tickets are available via Ticketek – www.ticketek.com.au.  Ticketek is the only authorised seller of World Tour tickets.

We strongly recommend you do not purchase your tickets from an unauthorized ticket seller.  If you do, there is no guarantee that your ticket will be valid and give you access to the event.



Is there General Admission and Reserved seating available? 

Fans can purchase General Admission tickets with standing and seated options available.

What is The World Tour Residence?

How and when will I receive my tickets? 

There is a print suppression in place. Tickets will be held back from delivery until closer to the event. 



I have accessible requirements, how do I purchase tickets?

Does my World Tour Melbourne event ticket allow me access to the Grand Prix action?

World Tour Melbourne ticket holders will get restricted access to the Grand Prix circuit to allow access to Lakeside Stadium. For full access to the  F1 ® Rolex Australian Grand Prix 2020 buy your tickets now through www.grandprix.com.au

 

Does my Grand Prix Ticket allow me access to World Tour Melbourne? 

World Tour Melbourne is a separately ticketed event to the F1 ® Rolex Australian Grand Prix 2020. Tickets for World Tour Melbourne can be purchased from www.ticketek.com.au from 10am (AEDT) on Monday 20 January.   

Can I purchase one ticket that will give me access to both the World Tour Melbourne event and the F1 ® Rolex Australian Grand Prix 2020? 

No, this is a separately ticketed event. To gain access to both events you are required to purchase a World Tour Melbourne event ticket and the F1 ® Rolex Australian Grand Prix 2020 ticket for either Friday 13th March or Saturday 14th March.

Do I need a Ticketek account to buy tickets?

Yes – you will require a Ticketek account to finalise your purchase.


What payment methods can I use to purchase tickets?

Ticketek accepts all major debit/credit cards for bookings made online.  Ticketek agencies accept cash and credit cards.


Is afterpay available?

At this stage afterpay is not available via Ticketek.


Can I bring small children?

No concession tickets will be available for children. We recommend that this event is suitable for adults only. These are loud rock music events. 


Can I buy tickets from eBay, Gumtree, Viagogo etc?

We strongly recommend you do not purchase your tickets from an unauthorized ticket seller.  If you do, there is no guarantee your ticket will give you access to the event.  The only authorized ticket seller for World Tour Australia is Ticketek – www.ticketek.com.au.

I can’t go anymore can I get a refund?

Tickets are non-refundable.  See Ticket T&C’s for more information.

I no longer need my ticket can I sell it?

The only place to securely resell your ticket is via Ticketek Marketplace.  Ticketek Marketplace gives fans easy access to sell their tickets safely and securely if they can no longer attend the event.  All tickets on Ticketek Marketplace are capped at a maximum price of 10% above face value. Every exchanged ticket is reissued into the name of the new owner and guarantees fans entry to their event.

We strongly recommend you do not purchase your tickets from an unauthorized ticket seller.  If you do, there is no guarantee your ticket will give you access to the event.

I am buying my ticket from an unauthorised seller, can you validate it for me?

Ticketek is the only authorised seller of World Tour Melbourne tickets.  If you have chosen to buy a ticket from an unauthorised seller we cannot guarantee it is a valid ticket and you will be able to enter.  World Tour Melbourne is not responsible for any fraudulent tickets.


GETTING THERE

Fans are strongly advised to leave the car at home and take advantage of the GP Express tram services to the Circuit or public Transport. The tram is the easiest way to get to the Albert Park Grand Prix Circuit with frequent services.


GETTING TO GATE 2:
Take the Route 96 tram to St Kilda Beach and disembark at Stop 129, Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre. On Saturday 14 March, trams run express from Spencer Street (corner Collins Street) to Gate 2.


GETTING TO GATE 4:
Take the Route 12 GP tram to St Kilda along Collins Street and disembark at Stop 131, Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre on Albert Road for Gate 3. From there, Gate 4 is a short walk to the east. On Saturday 14 March, trams run express from Spencer Street to City Road and then all stops to Gate 3.


GETTING TO GATES 8 AND 10:
The easiest way to reach Gates 8 and 10 is via the St Kilda Road trams. All St Kilda Road trams run via Stop 13, Flinders St Station / Swanston St (opposite Federation Square). The following trams can be used to reach the various gates at the Circuit: 3/3a, 5, 6, 16, 64, 67, 72.

PARKING

Non-residents are NOT permitted to park close to Albert Park on event days. Special permits are required to enter selected residential areas near the Circuit. Illegally parked vehicles will be subject to heavy fines and/or towaways.

If you need to drive, World Tour Melbourne ticket holders are encouraged to look at park-and-walk options, such as:

-    Crown Melbourne

-    Secure Parking

-    Wilson Parking

-    Care Park

 

Where are the Uber pick up points?

Simply head to the UberZONE on the South side of Albert Road between Gates 3 and 4 to request your ride. Here, you can kick back, charge your phone and grab a water while an UberCONCIERGE connects you with your ride.

Please note, rides requested at World Tour Melbourne will incur a $5 event pick-up fee. This will go directly to the driver-partner to accommodate heavy congestion and wait times.

Are there bus services running?

Limited free bus services will be available from the South side of Albert Road just past Gate 4. These buses will shuttle patrons into the Art Centre in Melbourne’s CBD, close to Flinders Street Station.



What are the Accessibility Services available?

Trams: Patrons may catch a train to Flinders Street Station and catch Tram 16. Patrons will be dropped off at Gate 10.  Where they can access the circuit and catch an accessible shuttle to Lakeside Stadium.  Refer to the accessible shuttle information below to book.


Accessible Parking

Accessible parking is available at Gate 10 in the Village Green Car Park. A permit must be obtained through AGPC in advance on (03) 9258 7100.


Access Gates

If you have purchased either an accessible or easy access seat to World Tour Melbourne we ask that you arrive through Gate 10 of the Grand Prix Circuit.   

Please be aware that access to the stadium through Gates 2,4 and 8 are via stairs only, there is no accessible access through these gates. However, if you are able to use stairs but cannot walk a long distance Gate 4 is your recommended access gate. 


Accessible Shuttle

A free accessible shuttle service operates within the circuit to designated stops for patrons with limited mobility. This service can accommodate one companion carer per patron.

Priority will be given to patrons who pre-book the service from Monday 9 March 2020 by calling Wheelaway on 1800 133 320 or 0438 683 598. It is highly recommended that if you require the free accessible shuttle that you book in advance so that capacity can be forecast during peak arrival and departure periods of the Formula 1 ® Australian Grand Prix. 

The accessible shuttle picks up and drops off at Gate 10.  Bookings can also be made on the day by calling 1800 133 320 or 0438 683 598.

On departure the accessible shuttle will pick patrons up from the same location they were dropped off at Lakeside Stadium and the shuttle will return to Gate 10.

Lakeside Stadium is located within the Formula 1 ® Rolex Australian Grand Prix Circuit and therefore the attendance conditions for this event apply for World Tour Melbourne ticket holders. To see a full list of these conditions please click HERE

  • Alcohol (unless purchased at the Event)
  • Glass bottle or glass container (unless purchased at the Event)
  • Beverage container with the manufacturer’s seal broken (unless purchased at the Event)
  • Hard cased esky or ice box (polystyrene eskies and cooler bags acceptable)
  • Chair, lounge, bench or stool, other than a folding chair or folding stool
  • Clothing bearing any racist, indecent or obscene language or images
  • Prohibited or controlled weapon, firearm, or any dangerous goods
  • Animal, other than an assistance dog
  • Metal flag or banner pole longer (or extending to longer) than 1 metre, or any flag or banner
  • which could reasonably be used in contravention of Attendance Condition 15(t)
  • Whistle, loud hailer, horn or bugle; flare, firework, laser pointer, or distress signal
  • Drones, spider cameras or any other aerial photographic, video or audio recording equipment
  • Camera lenses with a physical length greater than 400mm or any other item which might reasonably obstructs the view of any other Patron
  • Photographic, video or audio recording equipment AGPC reasonably considers may be used in breach of Attendance Condition 33, which may include (without limitation) audio recorders, camera tripods, monopods or any digital recording equipment. 



Can I buy food and beverage at the stadium? 

Lakeside Stadium is a licensed venue. BYO alcohol is not permitted.

A variety of wines, beers, ciders and ready-to-drink spirits will be available for purchase at all bar locations. Due to liquor licensing, limits will apply to the amount of drinks purchased per person.

There will be a wide variety of food available for purchase within the Formula 1® Rolex Australian Grand Prix Circuit and at Lakeside Stadium.

Please note Lakeside Stadium is a cashless venue and will accept card payments only.

Drink Responsibly - World Tour Melbourne will practice the responsible service of alcohol.

What is if rains? 

The event will proceed and will not be cancelled due to rain unless conditions are deemed to be dangerous on the day. If rain is forecast, come prepared with wet weather clothing and suitable footwear. Umbrellas are not permitted inside the stadium for this event.
